Located on Ridge Avenue in the heart of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, The Academies at Roxborough High School offer programs and learning opportunities that promote academic and social achievement for all of our students. We provide instruction that prepares students to achieve future success, whether in college or career.

Although our students come primarily from the Roxborough, Manayunk, and Germantown sections of Philadelphia, we also serve a significant number of highly motivated students from all over Philadelphia who are attracted to Roxborough by its exceptional academies and CTE programs. Our Freshman Academy introduces students to Roxborough's rigorous academic program and provides them with the general academic skills they will need to succeed in high school. Upon exiting the Freshman Academy, our students enter one of our three career-themed academies: The Academy of Visual Arts Production, The Academy of Health Sciences and Research, and The Academy of Business Technology and Entrepreneurship. Students who enter our Academy of Visual Arts Production will take a three year course in either Web Design or Film and Video Production. Students who enter our Academy of Health Sciences and Research will take a three year course in Biotechnology and Kinesiology. Students who enter Our Business Technology and Entrepreneurship Academy take a three year course in business technology.

Student Attendance93%
This is the average daily attendance at the school – on average, what percent of all the students enrolled at the school are in attendance. We don’t know why students may not be attending the school, but if this is a low number it is likely that teachers may have to spend more time reviewing material that absent students miss, making it harder to move forward in a class.
