Program Notes | This program introduces students to the art and science of Digital Film & Video Production. Students learn several types of media productions while developing a full understanding of hardware, software and the equipment necessary for delivering effective presentations for business, industry and entertainment. Instruction includes training in concept design, screen writing, video production, television production, audio production, electronic computer imaging, editing, cable television, DVD authoring, and presentation technology. A variety of updated computer software applications are taught including Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Final Draft and Microsoft Power Point. Using state-of-the-art digital technology, students will apply their knowledge to create quality media productions for cable and television broadcast, DVD, the web, corporate video-based communications and computer-based presentation technology. This program will enhance students’ computer literacy and communications skills, as well as a personal portfolio in preparation for college, business and employment. |
