Drew School

Deadline for Application: Friday, January 11th, 2019

Our mission is to inspire and nurture each individual student that walks through our doors so when they walk out, four years later, they will have evolved into the very best version of themselves possible.

We strive to create an intentional educational experience that taps into each student’s natural interests and curiosity and uses them as building blocks of a transformative process that allows them to become lifelong learners with a deep sense of themselves and of their place in this world.

It's safe to say that no Drew student idly watches their years in school pass by. One need spend only five minutes walking through our halls to hear the audible murmur as adults and students engage in the deeply impassioned exchanges that are so central to life at Drew. Our campus literally pulsates as learning comes to life every day - students study Pythagorean proofs, explore native plants on our living roof with a renowned botanist, create digital films in our state-of-the-art studio, improvise a jazz piece in one of our ensembles, learn through service in Guatemala, or dummy a defender on the soccer field.

Yet what truly makes the authentic growth of each student at Drew possible is that as intense and deeply personal as our students’ pursuits may be, they occur in a carefully designed container that students often describe as their “second home.” This nurturing community that pays individual attention to what each day feels like for every student, creates a veritable safety net that allows students to take measured risks and innovate, grow, and constantly expand their sense of their own potential.
